Beth Mathison - Managing Director and Principal Consultant

MBA, Grad. Dip. IR & HR, BA, FAIM, FAICD, MIMC, MAHRI

Beth has more than 35 years experience in business. She has owned and managed multi-million dollar businesses in Australia and the UK and has worked in business development and human resource consulting, CEO of Australasian division of a global relocation company as well as holding a senior human resources position for a not-for profit in Victoria. She currently undertakes operational and general business reviews for clients, including developing business plans and strategies, financial process reviews, risk analyses, human resources management, change processes, marketing and implementing recommendations. As an experienced board director, she will also advise on governance and compliance issues that may present a risk to your business.

Lance Kenningham - Director and Senior Consultant

Lance has enjoyed an extensive and varied career in health and safety over the past 25 years; ten of which were with the Victorian Workcover Authority where he was Strategy Manager of the Transport and Storage Division and where he was heavily involved in the creation of government policy around forklift safety and working from heights. He has also worked for a global private manufacturer as Safety Advisor/Specialist on factory plant safety.

As a result, Lance has an in depth working knowledge of large and complex industrial workplaces, and is our resident occupational health and safety expert. Lance’s experience can guarantee compliance through best practice and measurable results resulting in both workplace productivity improvements and employee job satisfaction through safe practices.

Earlier in his career, he has been a workplace rehabilitation consultant, and qualified as both an A grade electrician and an instrument technician.

Dr Karin Mathison

PhD (Management), Master of Commerce (by research), Graduate Certificate in University teaching and learning, Cert. IV Workplace Learning and Assessment, Cert. III Frontline Mgt.

Karin works on a contractual basis for Centaur, her primary employment being as the Director of Corporate Internships and lecturer in Industrial relations and Management at the University of Tasmania where she is also completing her Masters in Education.

Prior to academia, Karin has over twelve years’ experience in industrial relations, human resource training and small business startup experience. Her areas of expertise include negotiation, contract development and conflict resolution. As a trainer, and in addition to being awarded teaching awards at UTAS, Karin has developed and delivered a range of training packages to suit small and large organisations; having established two businesses herself as start-ups. Consequently, she understands the challenges associated with preparing financials, profit and loss, cash flows and budgeting and is adept at developing and maintaining successful business relationships.
