Lance’s practical approach to delivering workplace safety services is underpinned by solid EHS tertiary qualifications, substantial hazard management experience and a trades background (electrical/instrumentation), coupled with an understanding of workplace issues and cultures
across many industries in both private and public sectors. He has worked in manufacturing (metals, heavy & light engineering, automotive, food and beverage), transport and storage, oil and petrochemicals, aviation, retail, health, local government, hospitality, and construction
industries.

For some years Lance also owned and managed his own small retail business with several employees.

Lance provides a successful workplace health and safety consulting service to Tasmanian and interstate clients ranging from international brands to small businesses.

Services provided to-date include:

  • Review of governance & OHS strategy within several businesses, developing policies/procedures, supporting their implementation and the change process including coaching and mentoring
  • Lead and support the implementation of OHS Management Systems
  • Auditing OHS management systems and compliance
  • Project management of an online contractor management process across Australia New Zealand workplaces in a large corporation
  • Development and implementation of critical safety systems eg: Lock out tag out / permit to work for several enterprises
  • Conduct of ‘risk mapping’ and establishment of risk registers
  • Performed extensive machine safety risk assessments & guarding audits for conformance with AS4024 and other relevant standards
  • Review of emergency management systems for a Large Dangerous Substance Location (LDSL)
  • Investigation of workplace incidents
